The shot types used in our film

  1. This long shot is used at the very beginning of the film to set the scene, it becomes apparent to the audience straight away that the film shall be set in a house. It also shows the audience the young girl is moving into her new house.
  2.   The next shot shown is a high angle shot, this helps the audience again to clarify she is moving into a new home and also to show she has to carry heavy boxes alone wanting them to find out more about the girl and other characters.
  3.  This is a medium shot that later on is presented as a long shot. This helps to show the audience the outside of the house and the creepy figure without letting them know why the figure is there and what the figure shall do next.
  4. This is a close up shot of one of the characters, charlotte. This helps to show the audience the girls facial expression and helps us to embrace her fear from her perspective. It invites the audience to be part of the experience.
